This Privacy Policy explains how PostSword ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use postsword.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: Email address and password when you create an account
  • Input content: Text you submit for repurposing (blog posts, transcripts, newsletters, etc.)
  • Voice samples: Writing samples you provide to train the "My Tone" feature
  • Payment information: Handled directly by Stripe — we do not store your card details

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Number of generations used, plan type, and generation history
  • Session data: Authentication tokens and session identifiers
  • Guest usage: A counter stored in your browser's localStorage to track free guest cuts (no personal data)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service, including processing your content through our AI pipeline
  • Manage your account, subscription, and billing
  • Enforce usage limits and plan entitlements
  • Store your generation history so you can access past outputs
  • Personalise output style when you use the My Tone feature
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts)
  • Respond to support requests
  • Improve and maintain the Service

We do not use your Input Content or Output Content to train AI models. Your submitted content is passed to Anthropic's API solely to generate your requested output and is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only with:

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and generation history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing compliance purposes.

Guest usage data (the localStorage counter) is stored only in your browser and is never sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser storage for the following purposes:

  • Authentication cookies: To keep you signed in (managed by Supabase)
  • LocalStorage: To track guest usage counts client-side

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
